Brighton West Pier Arcade 1901
Always the second string pier at Brighton the West Pier retained its Victorian feel to the end, This fire in the late 20th Cent marked the beginning of the end.
This is the very last photo taken of the already twice fire damaged pier before it collapsed into the sea during a huge storm in the early years of the 21st Cent. I know its the last photo because I took it my self five mins before it collapsed
Today this sad reminder is all the remains of this great Pier
